Defining Experiences

Following are the most important professional events that have served to define my skills and approach to web development in order of importance.

NASA - I was under contract with NASA Kennedy Space Center to design, manage, and maintain their new Biological website. You will find my name at the bottom right of each page.

AEROSPAN, a 426 employee Internet startup owned by an a major airlines conglomerate. I provided overall design direction for the world's largest Internet aircraft parts auction portal and public website. I Created look and feel of pages and forms, designed user interfaces, and created imagery and training manuals for site/software applications (see my name in lower right corner, click PLAY button to see more that I created). I managed site testing for usability issues, code purity, and logic flow. I designed, created, and maintained Aerospan.com with over 29,000 unique visitors monthly. I managed banner exchanges, cooperative/news agreements, pay-per-click search engine budget. The airlines conglomerate closed the company due to 9-11.

ADVERTISING & MARKETING - I ran an advertising and marketing firm from which I served clients like NASA, the Florida Marlins Baseball team, Canaveral Port Authority, and Rockwell Collins Aviation from Merritt Island Florida providing advertising, marketing, design, printing and graphics services. Search Engine Optimization and Site Promotion - simply put: I get websites money spending customers - traffic. I get websites noticed by Google, Yahoo and MSN so that they appear at the TOP of the search engines results pages. NASA Headquarters actually ordered me to STOP promoting the Biology site I built for them because Google was showing the site I built for them ABOVE NASA's HQ's own websites.

Formal Education - I earned a Computer Information Systems Degree from Herzing College in Florida. I was awarded a Certified Internet Webmaster status with 4.0 GPA honors. I carried the CompTIA i-Net+ Certified Professional status, and was classified as a Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) associate level.

VIP Casino Vacations - Director of Web Development. Company closed due to lack of funding.

Overview - I am an accomplished problem solver. I have the ability to see where the real problem lies in difficult to assess situations. I am well rehearsed in both government and commercial business applications, from start up to final launch. I know how to sustain growth, but more importantly I understand margin and how to ensure profitability.
